UNION — Frank “Bobo” Cheek, Jr., 63, 422 Blue Ridge Road, died July 3, 2012.

A native of Union, he was the son of the late Frank Cheek, Sr. and Gertrude Curenton Cheek. He was a member of Saint Paul Baptist Church, a 1967 graduate of Sims High School, and a self-employed roofer.

He was predeceased by one daughter, Michelle Denise Cheek.

Survivors include one son, Steve Cheek of Laurens, SC; one daughter, Melinda Ancrum of Union, SC; and four sisters, Mamie Louise (William) Stafford of Cambridge Heights, NY, Freddie Mae Dean, Frances Cheek, and Patricia (John) Hooker, all of Union, SC; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 8, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Saint Paul Baptist Church with burial In Rosemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home his sister, Patricia Hooker, 422 Blue Ridge Road.
