UNION — Mr. William David Jenkins, 76, of Union, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Regency Hospital of Greenville after a brief illness.

Mr. Jenkins was born in Raleigh, NC, May 2, 1936, a son of the late George Lawson Jenkins and Lillie Mae Hames Jenkins. He was retired from Delta Farms as a dairy farmer and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Jenkins was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Surviving are three sons, Ricky Jenkins and wife Cheryl of Buffalo, Timothy Jenkins and Thomas David Jenkins, both of Union; four grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Jenkins was predeceased by a son, William Charles Jenkins.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Lee Franklin. Visitation will be held prior to the services Saturday from 10-11:30 a.m. at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

The family will be at their respective homes.
