The Union County Arts Council will be holding a unique exhibit beginning in June. The show, “A Union Heritage; Three Generations of Union Artists,” will feature the works of Herndon Thomson who was born in Union in 1891, his daughter Sally Parker, and her daughters Lucy Prim and Sarah Parker.
The elder Thompson’s work includes etchings, watercolors and furniture design. Sally and her daughter, Lucy, work strictly in watercolors, while Sara is accomplished in oils. UCAC will have a variety of works by all four artists on display.
“A Union Heritage” will begin June 17 and run through the end of July. The public is invited to attend a reception for the show June 15 at UCAC from 6-8 p.m.
