A Union teen-ager was sentenced to prison Monday for his part in the robbery of a Pizza Hut delivery man.

Demarcus Morman, 17, of 720 Lakeside Drive, Union, pleaded guilty to strong armed robbery. He was given a youthful offender’s sentence not to exceed six years.

The robbery occurred on Feb. 27, 2008. The victim told Union Public Safety officers he thought at least four people attacked him after he delivered a pizza at Lakeview Garden Apartments. He said he was choked from behind, beaten in the face and $36 was taken from him.

Cendias Tucker, 18, of 113 Standpipe St., Union, also was involved in the robbery. Tucker pleaded guilty in August of 2008 to strong armed robbery and, in an unrelated case, distribution of crack cocaine. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

Two other people, Terrance Lindsay, 17, and a boy who was 15 at the time of the robbery, also were charged. Lindsay’s case has not come to court. The juvenile’s case will be heard in Family Court.

The following people pleaded guilty Monday in General Sessions Court:
