CARLISLE — Effie Lee Crosby Gibson, 78, 532 Pinckney St., died June 4, 2012.
A native of Union, she was the widow of Arlee Gibson and the daughter of the late Douglass and Annie Bell Cofield Crosby. She was a former employee of J. P. Stevens.
Survivors include two sons, Lester Gibson of Cleveland, OH and Mario Gibson of the home; three daughters, Ernestine (Eddie) Nesby of Buford, GA, Constance Gibson (Herman) Basco of Carlisle, and Deborah Gibson of Portland, OR; one sister, Geraldine Johnson of Union; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Outreach Deliverance Center with burial in Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Constance Gibson-Basco, 540 Pinckney Street, Carlisle.
The Michael A. Glenn Funeral Home, 2212 Santuc Carlisle Highway, is serving the family.
