They designed breakfast bags with special messages of encouragement on them and gave the bags to the upper grades at breakfast. Students also handed out inspirational messages as students arrived for school on the first day of PASS Testing. Zy Stewart, Elijah Phillips, and Jamar Jeter are shown passing out the messages to students as they arrive for school. Such messages as “Rock the PASS Test,” “You’ve got what it takes” and “Believe in yourself” were handed out to encourage students to do their best.

THE UNION COUNTY ARTS COUNCIL will hold a reception at the UCAC Gallery, 6:30-7:30 p.m. for the Artists Guild Spring Art Show and will feature works by members Betsy Skipper, Shannon Farr, Robert Barbary, Jackie Weber, Bennie Giles, Nanette Jenkins, Jill Dutton, Gib Kohr and Morgan Faucett.
