UNION — Sara Celeste Polk, 23, 103 Barron St., Union, SC, died Monday, May 7, 2012 in Boiling Springs, SC.

A daughter of Henry Lee and Virginia Polk, was born in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia on Feb. 9, 1989. She was a graduate of Union High School Class of 2007, and was a fulltime student at USC-Union, and had been employed with Haemonetics and McDonalds of Union.

Surviving in addition to her parents are one daughter, Mya Saraye Porter of Union; three brothers, Joseph “Joe”(Christon) Jennings of Union, Henry Lee Polk Jr. of Spartanburg, and Solomon (Amber) Gilkey of Union; one sister, Angela Duke of Frankfurt, Germany; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Lewis Funeral Home Chapel by the Pastor Pam Stanfield at 3 p.m. with burial following at Union Memorial Gardens.

Public viewing will be held Friday, May 11, 2012 from 9-6 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the home 103 Barron St. Union SC 29379.
