Young artists win awards at Union County Arts Council

The Union County Arts Council awarded cash prizes to 10 young artists from the sixth through twelfth grades during a reception for the 2012 Youth Art Show. Awards were given to students in kindergarten through the fifth grades in a separate reception last month.

In the Middle School Division, Lori Hart (UCDS) won the top prize and Morgan Faucett (SCCA) took second. Seth Woods (JEMS) placed third, while Makayla Goode (SMS) and Hannah Hill (LMS) earned honorable mentions.

The High School Division’s top prize was captured by Dylan Fallaw, Ana Godinez took second and Kaitlyn Koepke placed third. Grason Garrett and J.R. LaPierre earned honorable mentions. All of the winners in this division attend Union County High School.
