Foster Park Elementary Volunteers are special

A volunteer appreciation drop-in luncheon was held to honor volunteers at Foster Park Elementary School. More than 25 volunteers attended the drop-in sponsored by the school’s Parent Teacher Organization and organized by Mrs. Cathy Wood (Volunteer Coordinator), Mrs. Gail Hubbard (cafeteria manager) and the Foster Park cafeteria staff. Caroline Gallman, Student Council President, Jacob Lawson, Student Council Vice-President, and Kevonna Eison, Student Council Secretary, served the refreshments. The volunteers enjoyed fun, fellowship and food. Each volunteer was also awarded a gift. Mrs. Palmer, principal, thanked the volunteers for their dedication and service to the staff and students. Mrs. Palmer stated, “We could not accomplish all of the extra things we do for students without our volunteers. They are amazing and truly a blessing to our school.”
