A Union woman ended up in jail after she allegedly scratched a man, threw bleach on him and then came at him with a knife.
Johnna Patrice Johnson, 26, 116 Bowling Avenue, Union, is charged by the Union Public Safety Department with drawing in affray, malicious damage, and assault and battery.
The incident report states that an officer was called to 116 Bowling Avenue just after 2 p.m. Wednesday in reference to a woman threatening to cut a man with a knife. Before he could arrive, the officer was notified by dispatch that the woman, later identified as Johnson, had left the scene in a Burgundy Nissan Maxima headed toward US 176. When the officer arrived at the scene, the victim told him that during an argument with Johnson she started grabbing him and scratching him about the face and arms. Even after he pushed her off of him, the victim said Johnson continued to attack him.
After he’d gotten her off of him, the victim said Johnson threw water on him and then threw bleach on him, causing his blue shirt to become discolored. He said that as he tried to leave the house, Johnson picked up a knife and came toward him. The victim said he nevertheless managed to get away without being injured. He described the knife as being six inches long with a black handle.
The report states the officer was unable to collect the knife as evidence because Johnson had left the property and locked the doors to the building. The officer did, however, take photos of the scratches on the victim’s face and arms as well as the damage to his shirt.
While talking to the victim, the report states the officer was notified that Johnson had been taken into custody on the Berry Farm Road. She was then transported to jail.
