JONESVILLE — Mrs. Peggy Sanders Henderson, 77, 717 Pea Ridge Highway, Jonesville, widow of Louis “Cucumber” Henderson, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Regional Hospice House.

Mrs. Henderson was born in Lockhart, SC January 4, 1935, a daughter of the late Roy Sanders and Viola Barber Sanders. She retired from United Merchants & Manufacturing-Union Plant and was a member of Greater Union Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Kathy Black and husband Rick of the home and Cindy Henderson of Union; a son, Ken Henderson and wife Jeanne of Spartanburg; a sister, Mildred Crocker of Union; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Henderson was predeceased by a son, Bruce Henderson; two sisters, Hazel Crocker and Rosalee Black; and a brother, Charles Ray Sanders.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2012 at Greater Union Church conducted by Pastor Roger Estes and Pastor John Cody. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Albert Roark, Brett Burgess, Dennis Quinn, Tony Painter, Thomas Gibson and Wayne Todd.

Visitation will be held 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday evening at the SR Holcombe Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Union Christian Day School, 331 Meansville Road, Union, SC 29379.

The family is at the home, 717 Pea Ridge Highway, Jonesville, SC 29353.
