Union Christian Day Eagles fly past Trinity Eagles

ROCK HILL — The UCDS Eagles dominated in their game against the Trinity Eagles on Friday, winning 59-31.

Dustin Medford scored 20 points, had 13 rebounds, six assists and a had combined six steals and blocks. Team captain Grant Shetley had his first triple-double of the season with 19 points, 14 rebounds, 10 assists and a combined 10 steals and blocks.

Senior Eric Black scored 14 points and had eight rebounds. Andrew Goodale scored six points and had two rebounds.

UCDS Eagles are 9-2 overall, 8-1 in conference play.

Lady Eagles

The UCDS Lady Eagles fell to Trinity 50-22.

Mychaela Pettit led the UCDS Lady Eagles with 12 points, six rebounds and three steals, her highest scoring game of the season. Kellie Bennett contributed four points, two rebounds and three steals. Whitney Shetley scored two points, had three rebounds, four assists and 13 steals.

The Lady Eagles are 1-8 for the season.

Both Christian Day teams travel to Walnut Grove (Rock Hill) on Friday.
