Union County junior Kalay Jones has been stepping up for the Yellow Jackets in recent games. Jones had a big game last Monday when the Jackets hosted Spartanburg Christian, ending a Warriors run early on with a critical three pointer that seemed to shift the momentum of the game. Jones contributed nine points on the night.
And while the Jackets fell to Clinton on Friday, Jones put in some valuable minutes for Union County.
“Kalay has really played well as of late,” said coach Will Hickson. “He has really been doing a great job for us.”
The Jackets will need Jones’ presence as they round out regular season play with Blue Ridge, Greer and Chapman.
