Back in the early Fifties, Sis and I were courting pretty heavy. On Sunday afternoons we would get in my 1955 Ford Crown Victoria and ride to Lockhart, back to Jonesville and get ice cream at O.D.’s Cafe. Anyway, we were cruising up number nine into Jonesville and I put my hand over on Sis’s knee. She said; “Hoyt, you can go on up if you want to.” So I went on up to Pacolet!
