Using the Internet to start and operate an on-line small business will be the subject of a Friday afternoon workshop.
The Upstate Workforce Investment Board (WIB) is bringing the “EBay Workshop” back to Union. The workshop will be held Friday at the Upstate Workforce and Economic Development Center, 103 West Main St., Union, from noon-2 p.m. This will be the second workshop on starting an Internet business hosted by the WIB in Union.
The workshop will be conducted by Arianne Salandy, a graduate student of Winthrop University and a small business consultant at the university's Small Business Development Center. Business Service Team Member Beth Fowler said the workshop is designed to teach the basics of how to use Ebay to start and operate an on-line business.
Participants are encouraged to bring their lunch with them.
