The Union County Board of School Trustees got a very special return last week on its $100,000 investment in the Sims Junior High School media center: an outpouring of gratitude by students.

Media Specialist Jennifer Tazerouti presented the board with thank you cards made by seventh- and eighth graders for more than 7,000 new library books the school has purchased with funds allocated by the board. The students expressed how happy they were about the new books as well as importance of the books to the school and to the community.
