A second arrest has been made in a burglary case at a local race track.
Ted Robert Brindle Jr., 30, of 393 Love Road, McConnells, was charged Tuesday by the sheriff's office with grand larceny and third-degree burglary.
David Michael Canupp, 21, of the same address, was arrested Saturday by the sheriff's office in the case.
The two are accused of taking items from the Union County Motorcross Associa-tion on 2195 Carlisle-Whitmire Highway, Carlisle. The thefts were discovered on Sept. 17. An employee told Deputy Wendy Childers that a lock had been cut and the building and two campers were damaged. Items stolen included tools, six cases of Vitamin Water and Powerade drinks, a Brother laser printer a Sony projector and other electronics and tents. Damage was estimated at $200 and the stolen items are worth $3,700.
Arrested
Lamarcos Terrelle Brannon, 21, of 1208 Linersville Road, was charged Tuesday by the Union County Sheriff's Office with grand larceny of an automobile. He also was taken into custody on a magistrate's court bench warrant.
Brannon is accused of taking a 1988 Nissan Stanza from 361 Jonesville-Lockhart Highway on Sept. 20. The owner told Deputy Roxie Belue that the car was in running condition but had not insurance or tag.
The victim said Brannon attempted to have the vehicle towed to Lucky's Scrapyard in August but was unsuccessful.
Theft
On 137 Hill St., Buffalo, a victim told Deputy Roxie Belue Tuesday that someone entered her bedroom and took a black lock box containing $700 in cash, two yellow gold wedding bands, a cross with a yellow gold pendant and a variety of foreign coins. These are worth $835.
