Mobile home destroyed

Firefighters with the Monarch Fire Department work to extinguish a blaze that destroyed a trailer at 125 Amber Drive Thursday afternoon. Chief Larry Robinson said the cause of the fire is still being determined. He said the trailer was owned by Patsy Martin, who was not home at the time of the blaze. He said firefighters were dispatched to the scene shortly before 5 p.m. and remained there for approximately two hours. Philippi and Bonham firefighters also responded, along with volunteers from the City of Union.
