WHITMIRE - The Lady Wolverines varsity girls' tennis team defeated Mid-Carolina 7-0 on Wednesday.

In singles play, Jenna Baker defeated Krista Inman 6-1, 6-2; Faith Plemmons d. Katie Delesandro 6-0, 6-0; Betsy Long d. Miranda Pugh 6-0, 6-0; LynLee Thompson d. Carli Fulmer 6-0, 6-0; and Deanna Willard d. Erin Couots 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles play, Plemmons and Thompson d. Inman and Elizabeth Derrick 6-1, 6-0; Alex Cromer and Dawn Weber d. Delesandro and Shawa Kingsmore 6-0, 6-0.

WHS (3-2) travels to Landrum today.
