An experimental watermedia artist and teacher will judge the Union County Arts Council's annual juried art show next week at USC-Union.

Carrie Burns Brown, N.W.S., has studied art extensively and has painted, exhibited and conducted classes from South Carolina to Greece for 30 years. She has taught at Springmaid Beach since 1985. Her watermedia workshops, demo-lectures and juroring of exhibitions takes her all over the United States and Canada. Her innovative works are included in many corporate and private collections as well as many publications. Her DVD “Watermedia Collage” further describes her art.

Her collages, better described as “land shapes,” reflect her sense of color and design.

The juried art show will be held Sept. 18-Oct. 16 at USC-Union. The show will open with a reception from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Main Building lobby at USC-Union.

An Art Mart will be held Tuesday and Wednesday from 5-6 p.m. at the Union County Arts Center, 116 E. Main St., Union.
