The Union County Yellow Jackets travel to York today and host the Union County Scrimmage on Friday at Union County Stadium.

Tickets for the jamboree are $5 and only High School League passes will be accepted. The Sting Machine band will play at 6:30 p.m., Chapman will battle Emerald at 7 p.m., Laurens goes against Woodruff at 7:45 and UCHS gets Emerald at 8:30.

Every team in the county scrimmage has a Union connection. Greg Lawson (Laurens), Kevin Farmer (Chapman), Mike Clowney (Emerald) and Wayne Bell (Saluda) are all head coaches, who formerly were Jacket assistants. Scott Lawson, also a former Jacket, is the athletic director at Woodruff.

In more scrimmage action, Whitmire faces Chapin in the second game of the Newberry County Jamboree at 7 p.m. Friday at Newberry High School and C.A. Johnson in the first game of the Sportsarama at 6 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
