Reatha Mary Gossett, 65, wife of Harold Gossett, of 305 Lover's Lane Road, Union, died Monday, Aug. 4, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville.

Mrs. Gossett was born in Spartanburg Feb. 25, 1943, the daughter of the late Porter and Tereatha Poole. She attended New Bethel High School in Woodruff, was retired from Sonoco Products, and was a faithful member and usher at Mt. Zion Gospel Baptist Church in Spartanburg.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Demetria Yvette Gossett of Union; two sons, Harold Lawson Gossett Jr. and Kermit Maynard Gossett, both of Union; a stepson, Eric Giles; three sisters, Lavorua (William) Price, Sarah (Ronnie) Mins and Shelvia Thompson; three brothers, Porter Poole, Benny (Annie) Poole and Freddy (Carolyn) Poole; four grandchildren, Regina Gossett, Kenynetta Jeter, Caroline Tucker and Austin Tucker; four step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, at Mt. Zion Full Gospel Baptist Church in Spartanburg. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the home. Viewing will be until 7 p.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008.

The Gibson & Brown Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
