for barbecue

About this time of the year when I was growing up people would be checking to make sure they were going to have one or two empty lard buckets to get their barbecue and hash in by the time July 4th rolled around.

There were no styrofoam containers back then. You carried your own containers to pick up your barbecue and hash, and it was usually a bucket with a lid that once contained lard.
