Bryce Duckett (1-1) was the winning pitcher with five strikeouts in three innings work.
Kevin Brewington collected two singles. Gerard Taylor singled and doubled, driving in three runs. Keiston Stevens and Colby Hawkins each picked up singles for the Yellow Jackets.
UCHS (16-5, 8-5) travels to Clinton on Friday for the regular season finale. The Yellow Jackets then will look to the playoffs and a championship run.

Riverside defeated Union County's boys' tennis team 5-1 on Wednesday.
In singles play, No. 1 Christian Adamo (U) defeated Rudman 6-3, 6-3; No. 2 Wharton (R) d. Matt Gault 4-6, 7-6 (10-4); No. 3 Weiner (R) d. David Hope 6-2, 6-2; No. 4 Nash (R) d. Brett Ayers 6-0, 6-1; and No. 5 Craine (R) d. Jacob Robbins 6-1, 6-1.
In doubles play, No. 2 Hagler and Qiao (R) d. Joseph Sawyer and Seth Mcfarland 6-1, 6-2.
UCHS (10-6, 4-5) travels to Riverside Friday.
WHS SOFTBALL
GREENVILLE - Whitmire's varsity softball team defeated Greenville Tech Charter 19-4 on Wednesday. Terrin Reel hit a home run for the Lady Wolverines.
WHS (7-9, 4-4) hosts Dixie today.
UCHS JV GIRLS SOCCER
Mabry defeated Union County's junior varsity girls' soccer team 2-1 on Wednesday.
Neither team had scored at halftime. Union County had four shots on goal in the first half and Mabry two.
Kelsey Turner scored UCHS' goal in the second half. The Jackets made a few mistakes on defense, and Mabry scored with eight minutes left in the game to tie and with two minutes left for the win.
Mabry had five shots on goal to the Jackets' four in the second half.
UCHS goalkeeper Kelsey Wright had seven saves and came through in several close calls.
“We played a great game in the first half, especially after we scored,” said coach Laura O'Shields. “Our confidence soared. When Mabry scored so late in the game, we got down on ourselves. We have a few hustle issues, but overall this team is very dedicated to each other.”
