JONESVILLE - Lillie Mae Jennings Blalock, 77, wife of Jack Blalock, Sr., of 289 Belue Road, Jonesville, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at Spartanburg Restorative Care after a brief illness.

Mrs. Blalock was born in Union, Feb. 19, 1931, a daughter of the late Herman Manning Jennings and Clara Prince Jennings. She formerly worked at Milliken & Co., Ottaray Plant and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Vanessa Dale Alexander and husband Lewis of Jones-ville; four sons, Herman Blalock and wife Gail, and Joe Blalock and wife Nancy, all of Union, Preston Blalock of Edgefield and Timothy W. Blalock of Florida; four sisters, Annie Wages, Bessie Duncan, Kathleen Crompton and Betty Jean Hawkins, all of Union; a brother, Billy Jennings of Pauline; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Blalock was predeceased by two sons, King Daniel Blalock and Jack Blalock Jr. and five brothers, Ernest, Jack, Albert, Al and Herman Leroy Jennings.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2008 at Ottaray Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Jerry Lawson. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Dennis Bevis, Richard Farr, Michael Erwin, Donnie Mitchell, Chris Dill and Tripp Duncan.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. today, Thursday, March 27, 2008 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Dale and Lewis Alexander, 289 Belue Road, Jonesville, S.C. 29353.
