Carroll W. Thompson, age 61, husband of Elaine Gallman Thompson, of 213 Kissy Creek Circle, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2008 at Wallace Thomsom Hospital.
Mr. Thompson was born in Union, May 30, 1946, a son of the late Edgar Earl Thompson and Pearl Sumner Thompson. He was employed as a roofer with Brown Roofing Co. He was also a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sisters, Yvone Thompson of Union and Judy Brackins of Polk City, Fla.; his mother and father-in-law, L.D. and Nancy Gallman; two special nieces, Amber Gibson and Alyssa Kellett; a special nephew, Brandon Kellett; and a number of other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Jerry Thompson, Ted Thompson and Ned Thompson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel by the the Rev. John Cribb. Burial will follow in the Gallman Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Ricky Thompson, Phillip Thompson, Gary Lewis Thompson, John Lowe, Terry Youngblood, Lynn West and Phillip Gallman.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 until 9 tonight, Monday, Feb.11,2008.
The family is at the home of his mother-in-law and father-in-law L.D. and Nancy Gallman, 796 Lover's Lane Road, Union, S.C. 29379.
