Victor Ruth led the Tigers with 14 points, Amtravlis Jones added 11, Devontae Glenn had nine, Curtis Garrett and Keiston Smith each had four and Brett Smith had two.
“We were down the entire game,” said Sims coach Mitchell Moss. “We did not play with any passion until the fourth quarter. It was exciting. We struggled the entire first half, but we fought through the adversity. It was a sign of a good team.”
Sims improves to 5-4 overall, 4-3 in Peachtree Conference play.
LADY TIGERS
Boiling Springs defeated Sims' girls' basketball team 35-14 on Thursday.
Kristin Giles scored five points, Lauren Harrison had four, Kelsey Turner had three and Ashton Mills had two for the Lady Tigers.
Logan Wade and Ashton Mills led the defense.
“We came out flat in the first half and got in a hole we couldn't climb out of,” said Sims coach Kelly Jenkins. “In the second half, we matched them with our intensity. We just have to find a way to play that well all four quarters.”
Both Tiger teams travel to Gable on Jan. 7.
