LOCKHART - Robert E. Lee, Sr., 82, husband of Irene Conard "Tug" Lee of Lockhart, died Monday, Dec.10, 2007, at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home after a brief illness

Mr. Lee was born in Spartanburg County Aug. 5, 1925, a son of the late Russell Lee and Oda Bell Cook Lee. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Lockhart. Mr. Lee was a life member of the Masons and was a former Shriner. He retired from Torrington Co.-Tyger River Plant.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son: Robert Lee Jr and wife Kathy of Irmo; two brothers, Mack Lee and Olin Lee, both of Union; two grandsons, Robby Lee of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Britton Lee and wife Wendy of Irmo; and a great-granddaughter, Olivia Lee of Irmo. Mr. Lee was predeceased by two sisters, Juanita Elwood and Hazel Lee, and a brother Frank Lee.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007 at the Lockhart Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Alan Quarles and the Rev. Brad Goodale.

Active pallbearers will be Mack Rash, Ronnie Lee, Johnny McKnight, Homer Elwood, Thomas Conard and Dale Lee.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of S.C., 408 N. Duncan By-Pass, Suite 6, Union, S.C. 29379.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 tonight, Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
