Moses Sartor, 75, formerly of 107 Cornwell St.t, died Saturday, November 17, 2007, at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home after a long illness.

Mr. Sartor was born in Union County Sept. 23, 1932, a son of the late Ulysses Grant and Marie Kennedy Sartor. He worked at Cone Mill and was a member of Thomas Chapel A.M.E. Church where he served on the trustee board. He was a member of Farm Enterprise Masonic Lodge #280 in Santuc.

Surviving are two sons, Ernest Sartor of Greer and Michael A. Sartor of Spartanburg; seven sisters, Altonia Harris, Corrie Sartor, and Carrie Sartor, all of Union, Rosa Jeter of Spartanburg, Clara Jeter, Vertelle Green and Pearl Sartor, all of Jamaica, N.Y.; a brother, Earl Sartor of St. Albans, N.Y. ; one grandchild; a great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2 pm. Friday, Nov. 23, 2007 at Thomas Chapel A.M.E. Church by the Rev. James F. Johnson. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Viewing and visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007 from noon until 5 p.m. at the Carolina Mortuary.

The family is at the home of his sisters, Corrie and Carrie Sartor, 110 Harris Street, Union.

The Carolina Mortuary has charge of arrangements.
