Sims Junior High School held its Veterans Day program Friday afternoon, honoring over 30 veterans. Among those honored was John W. Greer who served in the U.S. Marines during World War II. Greer and his fellow veterans were escorted to their seats by Avery Hyatt and other members of Boy Scout Troop 42. The festivities included the presentation of the colors by the Union County High School Junior ROTC and a performance by the Sims Dancers. (Charles Warner photos)
