UNION — Mr. Blake Moorman, 86, 114 Woodrow St., Union, SC, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, at Wallace Thomson Hospital.
A native of Union County, he was born July 2, 1925 to the late Blake Moorman, Sr. and Emma Beaty Moorman. Mr. Moorman was a retired army veteran and worked as an auto service technician. He was a member of Galilee Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Nicole Moorman of Union, SC and Emma Jean Moorman of Staten Island, NY; one sister, Elwillie M. Smith of the home; two grandchildren, Christopher and Kimberlyn Moorman of Union, SC; a special friend, Ronnie Tucker of Union, SC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, Dec. 12, 1 p.m. at Galilee Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Malachi Rodgers, Pastor. Burial in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home. Viewing will take place Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011 from 1-4 p.m.
The Gibson & Brown Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
