Friday evening was one of scary costumes, contests, prizes and traditional Halloween games.
Union County YMCA hosted a “Fright Night” Halloween carnival in the upstairs gymnasium, which featured food, candy, games, cakes, door prizes and a costume contest for which participants wore a variety of costumes.
Admission was free for the event, and the gym was filled with parents and children who all seemed to be in a festive mood. Candy was available in abundance, and it was clear that many of the children present were experiencing their Halloween sugar rushes a few days early. Both parents and children rushed from one activity to the next, and all were enthusiastic about the festivities.
