UNION — Louise W. Glenn, 75, 169 Locust Pass Road, Union, SC, widow of Samuel J. Glenn, died Aug. 18, 2011, at Wallace Thomson Hospital.

Mrs. Glenn was born in Union, SC, on Sept. 12, 1935, a daughter of the late Landrum and Florence Worthy. She attended Union County Public Schools, was employed in the card room of United Merchants Textile Mill, and was a member of Maple Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Walter Talley, Robert (Betty) Glenn, John Earl (Debra) Glenn, Johnny (La-Shaun) Glenn, all of Union, SC, and James Kershaw, Long Beach, CA; daughters, Josephine (Melvin) Moore, Lula (Dudley) Thompson, Teresa L. Glenn, Mary Rice, Ellwille Byrd, all of Union; a brother, Ben Harris of Union; sisters, Martha Beecham, Pauline Dawkins, Jeanette Beacham, all of Union, Rosa Lee Hughes of Spartanburg, Mary Alice McBeth of Rolett,TX, and Martha A. Worthy of Union; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at Maple Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Maple Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers

Visitation will be held noon-7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, at Union Community Funeral Home.

The family is receiving friends at the home of Mary Rice, 1456 Peach Orchard Road, Union, SC.
