The Fifth Annual Shrine Race will be held Saturday, Aug. 6, at Cross Anchor Raceway in Cross Anchor.

Gokart racers in several categories will have the opportunity to win cash prizes and all proceeds from the race will go to help the Shriners’ hospital. Gates open at 2 p.m. Saturday and a driver’s meeting will be held at 6 p.m. prior to the start of racing.

Racers will be split into the following divisions:

• Medium and Heavy Box Stock; $500 to win guaranteed; $40 entry fee.

• Purple, Blue and Champ; $250 to win guaranteed; $30 entry fee.

• Super Heavy; $300 to win guaranteed; $30 entry fee.

• Gold; $200 to win guaranteed; $30 entry fee.

• Pee Wee A; $150 to win guaranteed; $20 entry fee.

• Pee Wee B; $100 to win guaranteed; $20 entry fee.

• Medium Box Stock, Lite and Heavy; $250 to win; $30 entry fee; 15 kart minimum.

• Super Heavy Box Stock and Lite Box Stock; $150 to win; $25 entry fee; 10 kart minimum.

• Outlaw; $20 entry fee; 100 percent payback.

Racers are encouraged to participate and the public is invited to attend.
