The Men’s Church League Tournament draws closer to it’s finale — tonight’s championship games — as two more teams were eliminated from competition Thursday night.

In Thursday’s 7 p.m. A-League game on field one, Tabernacle was put into the loser’s bracket after taking a 17-5 loss courtesy of Crestview.Mon-Aetna 1 defeated Mon-Aetna 2 22-10 to stay alive and face Tabernacle at 7 p.m. tonight. The winner will meet undefeated Crestview, who must be beaten twice, at 8 p.m. If a second game is necessary, it will be played at 9 p.m.

In B-League action, First Presbyterian was hurled into the loser’s bracket by Morningside with a 15-7 loss. However, First Presbyterian fought back with a vengeance, knocking off Lakeside with a 25-6 win to earn themselves a rematch with Morningside at 7 p.m. tonight. But, if the fifth seeded Presbyterian team wants to upset unbeaten first seeded Morningside, they will have to beat them in back to back games.

Head out to Southside Hills Complex to watch this tournament come to its conclusion tonight with the A-League and B-League championship games.
