A Union man went to jail Sunday after allegedly hitting a woman with a car during a domestic dispute.

Donzell Pierre Martin, 23, 611 Joe Walker Road, Union, is charged by the Union County Sheriff’s Office with criminal domestic violence.

The incident report states a deputy was dispatched Sunday morning to Martin’s residence in reference to a person being hit by a vehicle. While en route, the deputy was advised by dispatch that the incident was part of a domestic dispute. When the deputy arrived, he found the victim in the front yard of the residence. The victim said she and Martin had been arguing and it had led to a physical altercation. She said when she left the house and went in the yard, Martin had got in his car and struck her with it, knocking her to the ground. The woman said he then left, running down Joe Walker Road toward Berry Farm Road.

The deputy observed and photographed a scratch on the victim’s left knee as well as tire tracks in the yard. The report states the vehicle involved in the incident was an blue Crown Ford Victoria. It states the deputy found no apparent damage to the vehicle from the incident.

While on the scene, the report states the deputy was told by a witness that Martin had not left. Instead, the witness said Martin had been in the yard arguing with the victim when the deputy drove up. The witness said when Martin saw the deputy’s vehicle he ran in the house and the victim watched him do it.

The deputy found Martin in the house. The report states Martin said he did hit the victim with the vehicle. He was then arrested for criminal domestic violence and transported to jail.

The victim was transported by EMS to Wallace Thomson Hospital where staff later told the deputy her injuries were minor.

Jennifer Megan Chaney, 27, 239 Pineland Road, Union, charged Saturday with public intoxication.

Chekesha Nyota Glenn, 34, 329 Seven Oaks Lane, Spartanburg, charged Saturday with driving under the influence and having no registration in possession.

Travis Kerry Mullis, 21, 129 Hamm St., Union, charged Sunday with petit larceny.

Kelly Ann Allison, 26, 212 City View Circle, Union, charged Friday with breach of peace.

Kenneth Michael Austin Jr., 22, 250 Old English Road, Union, charged Sunday with disorderly conduct.
