Max is a 7 1/2 year old Jack Russell, who has been lost from his family since May 18. Max has been spayed, and has had his shots. He is white with brown on both eyes and one brown ear. He belongs to Stacy and Howard Gibson, they are extremely heartbroken because they have loved and raised him from a pup.
Stacy gave Max a bath that day and let him run outside to dry off, (so Max does not have his collar on). He’s missing from the US 176 and Toney Road area. Max does not know how to take care of himself, so maybe you saw this little guy and gave him a safe place to stay until you found his owners. Max is on medication and is overdue for it. Please call Stacy or Howard Gibson at 426-1883. Or call me at 545-6652 if you can’t get them, because they are walking the area looking for Max. Please help.
There are five little cats (nine months-one year old) looking for a loving family. They are spayed and neutered, and have had their shots. They have never lived outside and do not know how to take care of themselves. They are litter trained. They love to be petted and played with. They have a lot of personality. If you like cats you will understand what I’m saying.
Well, guess what? I had this article almost finished earlier today, and it was a little more enjoyable (I think). I had to leave for Spartanburg so I said I’d finish this when I got back home. So instead of eating supper I sat down at the computer, turned it on and all I have is a black screen and my story is lost. How many times have I had trouble with the computer.
I’ve borrowed my daughter’s laptop to write this. It feels strange on my fingers, compared to the real old fashioned one I have. I wish I could get a new one, so I’d stop having these problems, but the fairy godmother flew in another direction. And I used my tax money on improving the looks of my beauty shop (you remember the bright green glow in the sky at night). That’s what Chuck says anyway.
My sympathy goes out to Betty Foster’s family, who passed away yesterday. And last weekend the Roberts family lost Laura. These ladies will be missed by the people of Lockhart. We also lost Janie Sims, who was a good friend of Chuck’s mother, Margaret, and was taken care of by her nieces, Margie and Annette.
When you come to Lockhart, ride by the playground and see our new flagpole and flag. It was put up today, and was donated by Woodmen of The World Insurance Co. It was presented by Field Representative Ailene Ashe who also sells insurance for Woodsmen of The World. She’ll be presenting a new flag to Lockhart School, on Friday, I believe. If you want to buy insurance, you can find Ailene at Ashe Insurance every day after 10 a.m. She comes into the Town Hall around 7:30 am to take care of town business, but also needs to take care of her other business.
Don’t forget if you need lawn mower service, call Chuck at 427-4154. I don’t want him to be like the Maytag man — lonely! Keeps those blades sharp so they’ll cut better. Check the oil, spark plug, and keep gas in it so it’ll run better. Did I sound like I know what I’m talking about? Well I don’t.
Donnie Adams is working on a system to present for the Community Crime Watch. So I’ll keep you posted, and if you might be interested in being a neighborhood leader call me so I can put your name down to help when we get started.
I’ll close for now so I can get this computer back to its owner. Good night! 545-6652
