Three teenagers are charged with allegedly locking a young girl in a room and sexually assaulting her.
Termaine Casey Salter, 18, 205 Lipsey St., Union, and two 16-year-old juveniles are charged by the Union Public Safety Department with criminal sexual conduct first-degree.
The warrant for Salter’s arrest states that while at 313 Foster St., Union on May 14, he participated in the crime of sexual battery against a 16-year-old girl. It states the crime was accomplished by means of aggravated force and forcible confinement.
Public Safety Director Sam White said the victim went to the Foster Street residence with some friends. White said while there, the girl’s friends went into the kitchen area, leaving her with Salter and the two juveniles. He said Salter and the juveniles closed and locked the door between the room and the kitchen and proceeded to assault the girl. White said the assault ended when the victim’s friends heard her cry for help and entered the room through another door. He said the girl then went home and told her parents who called police.
White said Salter and the two juveniles were arrested Thursday.
Salter is being held in the Union County Jail and while the two juveniles are in the juvenile detention center in Columbia.
