Union County Dragway is loud and roaring with intense competition and there is no better weekend to take part than this weekend.
The local strip hosted a motorcycle event last weekend and looks to continue revving with excitement with a Pro Modified Shootout beginning Saturday.
Union County Dragway publicist Allen Carpenter said this weekend’s action is a thrilling event.
“The stage is set for the world’s fastest automatic pro mods at Union County Dragway. It’s the “Ten Thousand to Win Pro Modified Shootout,” one of the biggest shows of the year,” Carpenter said
The event will feature nitrous cars, blown cars, and turbo cars that make incredible three second runs while “smokin’ the track at over 190 miles per hour,” according to Carpenter.
Great competition is also expected as $4,000 is on the line with “True Ten Point Five cars.”
There will also be grudge racing, test and tune for everyone and a Top/Pro ET Bracket race that both Box and No Box cars can enter.
Union County Dragway gates open at 9 a.m. while qualifying starts at 12 p.m. Racing starts at 4 p.m.
