The Union Daily Times — in partnership with The Blood Connection — is offering Union residents the opportunity to save lives.
The Union Daily Times will host a blood drive on Monday, May 23 from 1-5 p.m.
According to The Blood Connection, over 4 million Americans would die each year without the aid of blood donations.
“You are meeting a great need and changing lives,” said Patti Schuppert of The Blood Connection.
The following is posted on The Blood Connection’s mission on its website:
“Blood sustains precious human life. Its presence and flow allows us to seek the purpose of our existence and attain life’s milestones. When we share blood, wounds heal; individuals thrive; and families remain whole. We share blood to enrich our life experience, casting aside our differences to link the human race through a common, natural bond.”
To sign up for the May 23 blood drive, call (864) 427-1234 or stop by The Union Daily Times.
