The Carolina Sting 13U baseball team won the USSSA Baseball Mayfest Mayhem NIT tournament last weekend. The tournament was held in Pineville, NC and Fort Mill. The Sting defeated BW Blue 9-8 and the Rajun Cajuns 9-6 at the Jack Hughes Park in Pineville on Saturday.The Sting defeated the Clippers 15-3 and the Stealth Cardinals 12 -6 at the Doby Bridge Park in Fort Mill on Sunday to claim the tournament title. The Carolina Sting participated in the Spring Spectacular Global Sports NIT Tournament on Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17 in Lexington. The Sting earned runners-up honors after finishing with a 3-1 tournament record. The Sting defeated the Carolina Rebels 14-4 before falling to the Belvedere Red Sox 11-3 on Saturday. The Sting defeated the Charleston Colts 9-1 and the Thomson Wildcats 10-6 on Sunday.
