Palm Sunday
Bethlehem United Methodist Church members watch as they wave palm branches, the little children played music as Jesus (John Justice) along with a donkey came into Jerusalem during a skit on Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday is the day Christians celebrate the Triumphal entry of Jesus Christ the week before his death and resurrection. Palm Sunday marked the beginning of Holy Week, which concluded on Easter Sunday. Photo by Jeff Gault.

Happy Birthday
My friend and neighbor, Mr. George Boughman celebrated a birthday on April 24. Didn’t say how old he would be, but did say he was born back when Alexander Bell was tinkering around with the first cell phone. I did the math. That would make him 75. Many more to you Mr. George.

Retirement Option
Now listen to this. Sisters Lillie Grant and Virginia Thompson say that when they retire, they are going to make their home on a cruise ship. They especially like the cruise ship called “The Princess Liner.”
When I asked why they would prefer a cruise ship to live on, they both explained.
First of all, it would be cheaper than a nursing home. The ship would cost $135 per day and the nursing home would cost $200 per day. That’s a difference of $65 per day. We would have 10 meals a day instead of three. We would have three swimming pools; we would have free toothpaste, free soap and shampoo. We would get clean sheets and towels every day. Besides, we would get to see places like South America, The Panama Canal, Australia, and New Zealand. And don’t forget, when you die, they just dump you overboard at no charge.
Wow!!!
