A Union man was arrested Monday for allegedly having sex with a 15 year old girl in September.
Jerry Dajuan Delaney, 30, 121 Barnado Road, Apt. 5, Union, is charged by the Union Public Safety Department with criminal sexual conduct.
The warrant for Delaney’s arrest states he had sex with the girl on Sept. 18.
Delaney, who was taken into custody at the Spartanburg County Jail, is currently being held in the Union County Jail.
The following incidents are being investigated by the Union County Sheriff’s Office.
Copper Ground Wires Stolen
Thieves have cut and stolen approximately $5,000 worth of copper ground wire from poles at various locations around Union County over the past two years. The incident report states sections of copper wire ranging from three feet to 10 feet in size have been cut off poles on River Road, Philippi Church Road, Black Bottom Road and Times Boulevard.
Chickens Killed, Injured
A Buffalo man says dogs have killed several of his chickens and so severely injured others he will have to have them destroyed.
The incident report states the complainant has chickens in pens in his yard at 181 Riley Road, Buffalo. The chickens were attacked between 9 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday. The complainant said the heads of several chickens had been bitten off and several others had suffered head injuries so severe he will have to them put down. He estimated the damage at $200.
The report states the case will be referred to the Union County Animal Control officer.
The following persons were arrested by the public safety department.
Christopher Chamberlain, 36, 105 Hodges St., Union, charged Tuesday with trespassing after notice.
Wyneshia Deann Smith, 18, 103 Fike Avenue, Union, charged Tuesday with petit larceny.
Harry Lewis McCall, 50, 124 Bates Avenue, Union, charged Tuesday with driving under the influence.
The following person was arrested by the sheriff’s office.
Jeremy O’Brian Rodgers, 22, 218 Anita Drive, Spartanburg, charged Tuesday with possession of marijuana second offense.
A 16-year-old juvenile charged Tuesday with disorderly conduct.
