UNION — Mrs. Frances Hill Greer, 87, wife of John W. Greer, 130 Springdale Drive, Union, SC, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011 at her home.

Mrs. Greer was born in Union, SC Oct. 10, 1923, a daughter of the late Obie Franklin Hill and Louise Hicks Hill. She was a graduate of Union High School and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband John of 65 years are a son, John H. Greer and wife Joanne H. Greer of Huntsville, AL; a granddaughter, Joanna L. Greer of Athens, GA; and a grandson, John H. Greer, Jr of Huntsville, AL.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Dr. Fred S. Miller, Jr and Rev. John W. Culp.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, Union Unit, 408 N. Duncan ByPass, Union, SC 29379 or to Tabernacle Baptist Church, 915 S. Pinckney Street, Union, SC 29379.

Visitation will be held at the graveside immediately following the service.

The family is at the home, 130 Springdale Drive, Union.
