Mrs. Moss was born Oct. 8, 1925, daughter of the late Boyd and Lula Pervine Gibbs.
Mary was a loving mother and grandmother.
She was a cook at Southwest Middle School and Pleasant Ridge Elementary School and loved the outdoors.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilber Moss; daughter, Penny Marie Moss; and brothers, Ray and Ronald Gibbs.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Howard Eugene and Sue Moss, William Michael "Mike" and Phyllis Moss, Mark Andrew Moss, John Ran and Kelley Moss; daughter and son-in-law, Tina Marie and Jerry Watson; brothers, Sonny and Bobby Gibbs; sisters, Brenda Price and Cathy Toney; grandchildren and spouses, Cheri and Mike Hardin, Jennifer Dobson, Geoffrey Moss, Marsha Pough, Amanda Watson, Alex and Mary Moss, Kassie Moss; great-grandchildren, Jaylen Dobson, Courtney Buhl, and Hunter Hughes.
The family received friends on Sunday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel.
The funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Shannon officiating.
Members of Crowders Mountain Fire and Rescue will serve as pallbearers.
