Sims took a 15-7 halftime lead and never looked back as they defeated Florence Chapel 33-25 on Thursday.

Dexlie Inman led the Lady Tigers (5-7, 2-6 Peachtree Conference) with 18 points as she handled Florence Chapel's defensive press with ease, according to Sims coach Kenny Harris.

"We did a really good job breaking the press," said Harris.

Ivey Gilmore netted six points, Kendall Henderson added four points, Quanda Thompson scored three and Payton Martin chipped in with two points to aid Sims' scoring efforts.

Thompson was named Bantam Chef's defensive player of the week.

Sims is scheduled to host Fairforest Monday at 5 p.m.

In boys action, Sims topped Florence Chapel 39-30 Thursday.

JD Cheek and Kennedy Beatty each scored 16 points to lead the Tigers.

"We played well and it was nice to be back at home playing. The kids played hard and were focused the entire game," said Sims coach Mitchell Moss.

Shemar Glenn and Noah Green each dropped in four points for Sims while Montray Feaster added two points.

Sims will host undefeated Fairforest on Monday at 6 p.m.
