The Nurse of the Month recipient for January 2011 is Heather Woods, RN. Heather is a full time nurse in the Emergency Department as well as a PRN Nursing Supervisor.

Heather’s nominators stated:

• “Heather is a loyal and dedicated employee to the Union Hospital District.”

• “Heather has been with the District for 15 years. During this time, she has worked in ICU, OB, Surgical Services, and the ED, as well as serving as Circulating Supervisor.”

• “Heather has an extraordinary knowledge base and skills as well as a knack for communicating with everyone she comes in contact.”

The Nurse of the Month is given to one nurse each month who exemplifies excellence and goes above and beyond to deliver excellent patient care.

Employees of the Union Hospital District as well as patients and visitors are allowed to vote on this monthly.
