UNION COUNTY — The Union County High School tennis team (1-0) opened the season Monday with what Coach Tom Adamo called a very good win against York 5-1.“York returned all their starters from last year and I knew it was going to be a close match,” Adamo said. “We got behind early with No. 1 Matt Haney and No. 5 Jacob Gault — both losing quickly in the first sets. Then they calmed down and started being more consistent and patient, and it paid off by winning in the third set tie breaker.”
