Presidential candidate to visit Union County on July 25

BUFFALO — A candidate for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination will make his second visit to Union County on Friday, July 25 during a breakfast event at Andy’s.Ann Stevens, Second Vice Chair for the Union County Democratic Party, announced that Robbie Wells will attend the breakfast which will begin at 9 a.m. Stevens said that Wells will meet with, address, and answer questions from the public during the breakfast. She said that the visit is part of Wells’ efforts raise public awareness of and financial support for his campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination. Stevens said that anyone who attends the breakfast and wants to do so may make a contribution to Wells’ campaign either at the breakfast or later.

 

More than 300 visit museum in May and June

UNION — A total of more than 300 people visited the Union County Museum in May and June while the number of its online Facebook fans exceeded that of similar institutions.Director Ola Jean Kelly reported that a total of 137 guests signed the museum’s guest register in May.
