Local teachers take part in Clemson project

UNION COUNTY — Middle and high school teachers from Union County were among the educators participating in a Clemson project designed to help rural educators improve the writing skills of their students.Clemson University’s Upstate Writing Project (UWP) brought together teachers from Florence 2, Greenwood 51, and Union school districts for a conference focused on helping rural students write their way to college and career success.The conference — held at the University Center of Greenville Sept. 18 — trained teachers on how to improve students’ writing skills.
